WHYSA - Coed Recreational
PROGRAMS & DESCRIPTIONS

This program is for West Hartford youth players born between 2009 and 2018. Our programs are designed for boys but girls are allowed and WELCOME to play in this league. This league's recreational division is a developmental program, with an emphasis on teamwork, fun, and learning through playing soccer. Our coaches are all volunteers. The curriculum is based on US Soccer guidelines and Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) regulations.
NOTE: Players must either live in West Hartford or attend school in West Hartford to be eligible for participation.

Volunteer coaches and assistant coaches are ALWAYS needed.  We appreciate those of you who are willing to donate time and knowledge to the club.  If you are interested in becoming a coach or assistant coach, please register using our volunteer coach’s registration on our website and contact your division supervisor directly via email.
Parent volunteer coaches are paramount to the success of the league.

Please read the description of the program(s) for which you are registering below.

Boys (coed) Pre-Training Division (for players born in 2018 only) 
Program Description:  This is a developmental soccer program. Participants will practice one (1) weekday evening per week for 50 minutes. And there be mini-scrimmages played on the weekend.  Location:  Fernridge Park
Uniforms will be provided by WHYSA. We ask players to bring a size #3 soccer ball, shin guards, & a water bottle to all practices and games. 

Boys (coed) Training Division (for players born in 2016 & 2017)
Program Description:  This is a developmental soccer program. Participants will practice one (1) weekday evening per week for 50 minutes. And there be mini-games played on the weekend.  Location:  Aiken Elementary School
Uniforms will be provided by WHYSA. We ask players to bring a size #3 soccer ball, shin guards, & water bottle to all practices and games. 

Boys (Coed) Mites Division (for players born in 2014 & 2015)

Program Description:  This is a developmental soccer program. Participants will practice one (1) weekday evening per week for 1 hour. And there be games played on the weekend. Saturday / Sunday rotation.  Location:  Kennedy Park fields
Uniforms will be provided by WHYSA. We ask players to bring a size #4 soccer ball, shin guard, and water bottle to all practices and games. 

Boys (Coed) Junior Division (for players born in 2012 & 2013)          
Program Description:   This is a developmental soccer program with friendly competition. This season will include one (1)  practice per week and one (1) game on the weekend.  Location:  Sedgwick School
Uniforms will be provided by WHYSA. We ask players to bring a size #5 soccer ball, shin guard, and water bottle to practice and games. 

Boys (coed) Senior Division (for players born in 2009, 2010 & 2011) 
Program Description:   This is a developmental soccer program with friendly competition. This season will include one (1) practice per week and one (1) game on the weekend.  Uniforms will be provided by WHYSA. We ask players to bring a size #5 soccer ball, shin guard, and water bottle to practice and games.

NOTE: WHYSA is a Co-ed league, however, the majority of the players are boys. If your daughter wants to play in an all-girls league please register with the West Hartford Girls Soccer League. (WHGSL). The leagues are separate and registrations cannot be transferred.

REFUNDS:

We understand that schedules change and there are instances when a player may no longer be able to participate based on other programs or family commitments. That said, the West Hartford Youth Soccer Association will issue a refund less a processing fee.  All refunds must be requested in writing no later than the first week of the season and a refund MUST be requested by the parent /guardian. All refunds will incur a credit card processing fee.
