WHYSA / WHGSL MITES – GOALKEEPER ORIENTATION CLINIC

Girls: 2:30-3:30pm
All players should take at least one turn in goal during the Spring season. This clinic is designed to teach everyone the very basics of goalkeeping, have some fun, and help all players feel more confident stepping into goal. Skills to be presented: set position, basic catching techniques, angle play, and goalkeeper distribution. Please bring a ball, shin guards and water bottle. No goalkeeper gloves or jerseys required.

This clinic is for the players who have shown an advanced interest in goalkeeping. We will continue working on refining basic catching techniques, but also introduce goalkeepers to: collapse dives, breakaway saves, and extension dives. Please bring a ball, shin guards and water bottle. Goalkeeper gloves and jerseys are encouraged but not required.

Our first week of camp, July 18-22 from 8:30-10:30 am, will be a technical and individual clinic for players aged 7-15 who want to develop their skills in the off-season. This week will take place at Hall High and will be run by Rich Michaud, Girls Travel Soccer Director, and Scott Ferguson, Hall High Girls Varsity Coach and Boys and Girls Travel Coach.

Our second week of camp, August 1-5 from 9 am-12 pm, will be our traditional week of individual skill building, small group activities and full camp games for players aged 4-15. This camp will take place at Hall High and will be run by Terry Phillip, West Hartford Boys Travel Soccer Director and Northwest Catholic Varsity Head Coach; Rich Michaud, Girls Travel Soccer Director; and Scott Ferguson, Hall High Girls Varsity Coach and Boys and Girls Travel Coach.

NORTHWEST CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
This instructional clinic is designed to work on dribbling, shooting, ball control, and other game-like tactics. This clinic will incorporate, drills, and conditioning.
